Since opening its doors in 1980, Pete's Steak House has become a local staple and favorite among locals and visitors alike. Started by George and Revekka Tsamolias they had a focus on traditional American fare as well as brining a taste of Greece to the Atchison community. Pete's offers a wide variety of homemade soups, salads, and pastas, as well as our signature, locally sourced Central Kansas, USDA Choice hand-cut steaks. Now, in its fourth generation of family ownership and with the inspiration of Pete's Executive Chef Niko Tsamolias, Pete's has become your destination for quality and value. This is Mediterranean, Greek and American Cuisine at its finest. Located next to the Fox Theatre in Atchison. Come in and experience the Pete's difference!

THE CHEFS

EXECUTIVE CHEF / OWNER: NIKO TSAMOLIAS

Chef Niko was born and raised in the small town of Atchison in Northeast Kansas. He is a self taught Chef and following the guidance of his father and mother he began to hone and master his skills in the kitchen. His family has had a restaurant in Atchison, KS since 1980 and when he was young he always knew that cooking was something that he wanted to do. "I grew up watching my parents cook and prepare such amazing dishes. There was something magical about it all. When I was old enough to start working in the kitchen there was something about the buzz of a busy kitchen and the creativity and simplicity of cooking that really drew me in. This is one of the reasons why I chose to pursue a career as a Chef." Since then, he has recently taken over the family business after 3 years as the head chef for his Uncle's Italian restaurant Aviano's just south of Atlanta. "I have always had a focus on being more than a chef. I try to be an inspiration as well." His focus on fresh ingredients, sustainable sourcing, and using quality ingredients is what sets Chef Niko apart from other Chefs in the area. "I have always had a passion for cooking and how you can transform everyday ingredients into truly stunning dishes that can in a way express who you are as a chef."

FAQ

Q: IF I OR ONE OF MY GUESTS HAS AN ALLERGY, CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE US?

Yes, and we can best prepare if you let us know in advance, preferably in your reservation notes in the Any Other Requirements part of the reservation form. Please note that our kitchen contains all usual allergens so cross-contamination cannot be completely avoided. 


Q: DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?

Q: DO YOU HAVE GIFT CARDS?

Yes, we offer gift cards that may be purchased in person or over the phone.


Q: HOW LATE DO YOU SERVE FOOD?

We serve food until closing Tues-Sat until 9 PM and Sundays until 8 PM.


Q: IS PETE'S STEAKHOUSE A GOOD CHOICE FOR CHILDREN?

We think so, if your child enjoys dining out. We have a separate children's menu available with something your children are sure to enjoy.


Q: ARE SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED ON THE CHEF INSPIRED ENTREES?

Unfortunately no. Chef Inspired Entrees are prepared so that every ingredient in the dish complements one another. We will do our best to accommodate guests with certain dietary restrictions, allergies, or certain medical conditions.
